Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VSME (Virtual SME) platform ("Service"), operated by VSME ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

VSME provides AI-powered security advisory services for ServiceNow environments. The Service includes a knowledge base of security articles, an AI chat interface, and optional integration with your ServiceNow instance via OAuth. VSME is an advisory tool — it does not modify your ServiceNow instance or enforce security configurations.

2. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and create a password of at least 12 characters. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Plans and Credits

• Recon (Free): 25 lifetime query credits. No payment required.
• Operator: 200 query credits per month with rollover of unused credits.
• Sentinel: 500 query credits per month with rollover of unused credits.
• Command: 1,500 query credits per month with rollover of unused credits. Includes ServiceNow instance integration.

Credits are consumed on a per-query basis. Consumed credits are non-refundable. Monthly credits refresh on the anniversary of your subscription start date. We reserve the right to modify pricing and credit allocations with 30 days' notice.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or its outputs
• Use the Service to develop a competing product
• Attempt to bypass credit limits, authentication, or rate controls
• Submit malicious input designed to manipulate AI responses
• Use the Service to attack or compromise any system, including ServiceNow instances you do not own or have authorization to test

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service provides AI-generated security analysis, detection scripts, and remediation guidance. While our knowledge base is curated by security professionals, AI responses may contain errors, outdated information, or recommendations that are not appropriate for your specific environment. You are solely responsible for verifying all recommendations before implementing them in production.

VSME does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content. Detection scripts are provided as read-only queries intended for investigation purposes — always review scripts before execution.

6. ServiceNow Integration

If you choose to connect your ServiceNow instance, you authorize VSME to access instance data via OAuth 2.0 for the purpose of providing contextual security analysis. This includes reading system properties, security configurations, and user-related metadata. VSME does not write to, modify, or delete any data on your ServiceNow instance.

You may disconnect your ServiceNow instance at any time, which immediately revokes VSME's access. See our Privacy Policy for details on how instance data is stored and handled.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in the VSME knowledge base, including articles, scripts, and frameworks, is the intellectual property of VSME. You may use outputs generated by the Service for your internal security operations but may not republish or redistribute them.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VSME shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or security incidents arising from the use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

VSME is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your conversation history and account data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Any remaining unused credits are forfeited upon termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Netherlands.
